Allen Elwood Conrad

Allen Elwood Conrad, 70, Altoona, died Sunday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Elwood and Helen (Shade) Conrad. On June 29, 1968, he married Connie Kruise at Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata.
Surviving are his wife of Altoona; a daughter, Sandy Fogle; two sons: Scott and Shaun Conrad; four grandchildren: Nathan, Noah, Kaci and Kaleb; and two sisters: Connie and Doris.
Allen was a 1964 graduate of Altoona Area High School and Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, receiving an honorable discharge after 14 years of service. He was a master electrician at AP Green for more than 27 years.
He was a member of Steel Workers’ Union and a lifetime member of Bavarian Hall. He was an animal lover, and he enjoyed woodworking, electronics and spending time with family.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
