June 5, 1924 - March 25, 2017
Elizabeth L. Davis, 92, Altoona, formerly of Bellwood, passed away Saturday in Altoona.
She was born in Grazierville, daughter of Fredrick and Catherine (Chilcoat) Shelow.
Surviving are four children: Carol Reed (Jerry) of Bellwood, William Davis of Sinking Valley, Kenneth Davis (Debbie) of Wellington, Ohio, and Robert Davis (Joyce) of Hollidaysburg; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons: Randy A. Reed and William J. Davis Jr.; and three siblings: George T., Joseph D. and Herbert E. Shelow.
Elizabeth was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from Veeder-Root Co. in 1982.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, and from 10 to the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, March 30, 2017, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona. Committal will be in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
