Elizabeth Mae Edwards, 103, Altoona, passed away Monday, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Geeseytown, daughter of the late Jacob E. and Essie Mae (Claycomb) Burket. She married Glenn A. Edwards and he preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2010.

Surviving are two daughters: Judith Ricker, of Hollidaysburg and Deborah Foltyn and husband, Conrad, of Pittsburgh; a son, Glenn “Lanny” Edwards and wife, Lynne, of Altoona; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and her loving companion, Kit Kat.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, a homemaker, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg.

She was famous for her Apple pies and Raisin filled cookies. She enjoyed ceramics, fishing, camping, gardening and traveling.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home, Pastor Myron Jones officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital, Development and Donor Relations Department, Shriners Hospitals for Children-Erie, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
